Opus is a New Zealand-headquartered engineering, design and infrastructure management company with offices in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and United States.

Challenge

Voco was asked to define, source and implement a platform capable of supporting Opus’ global expansion strategy. The company wished to transition from open source to mainstream collaboration platforms and reduce their reliance on a small number of technical staff.

Solution

Voco:

  • Developed a business-oriented telecommunications strategy.
  • Designed the architecture that would support Opus’ future business needs.
  • Developed the sourcing strategy and documentation, and then ran an evaluation and sourcing process.
  • Led commercial negotiations with chosen suppliers.

Results

The new platform was implemented, providing Opus with enhanced ways of working and reduced costs.
