Platform integration
This project is going back a few years but it remains one of the biggest telco integration projects ever to take place in New Zealand. When Vodafone acquired TelstraClear, Voco were asked to help complete the final stages of the acquisition, and plan and execute the integration of the two businesses. Vodafone needed to execute an organisation-wide integration programme to combine the two businesses to realise integration synergies. Voco’s involvement brought structured governance to the integration programme at executive level. The disciplined approach helped to complete a large and complex programme in a short timeframe and set Vodafone up to attack the market as a full service operator.
Voco brought capability, experience and nous to this complex and wide-ranging programme of work and were a material contributor to its success.

Platform separation
When Vodafone NZ was acquired by Brookfields and Infratil, they needed to separate from the Group’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and business operations. Vodafone needed to unpick 22 years of well-integrated technology that was interwoven into enterprise business processes, shared services, and systems. Vodafone asked Voco to manage the programme, which included the initial sourcing of the ERP cloud system and the systems implementation partner, the business process design, the design and implementation of the new ERP system, and the transition of shared service functions from the global shared services in India.
